Baking, Birthdays and MORE!

Hello, hello!

Here are some fun snapshots of some of our wonderful experiences here in Kindergarten.

Thank you to Betsy and Eli for sharing with us some of their family traditions that they practice for Hanukkah.  We watched Eli light the menorah, sing songs, and after Betsy read us a tale of a spider who really wanted to spin a dreidel, we learned how to play and then tried it out in small groups!

During P.E., friends practice passing and catching the ball.

In Art with Niki, the class came back to their "paintings with paper" and added the foreground, layering more paper on top.

Early this week, friends completed the final touches to their Exhibition Work.

I had the friends practice being hosts as well as guests for Exhibition Night, following the agreements they made last week.

Later in the week, we got to do a trial run of Exhibition Night with our 7th Grade Buddies.  The Loving Reading Scientists picked a station to stick with and talked to the different buddies as they came around to learn about their work.

We also did our rehearsal recital of our favorite songs and poems!

The kids worked together to mix the ingredients for the cookies they planned to have at the Winter Season Celebration.

In the afternoon, families came to help us make the icing, frosting, cookie cut outs, and hot chocolate!

We even got a chance to celebrate one of our friend's 6th birthday!  We got to sing happy birthday to him, play a relay game, and give him special birthday messages.

Thanks for stopping by!
Love, Gaby

  2. It's great to see the 'behind the scenes' of Exhibition Night and the Winter Celebration. I especially love seeing Eli working with his 7th grade buddies on the snowball fly game.

  3. Thank you, Betsy and Eli, for sharing the Hanukkah traditions. Emma was still talking about the menorah and dreidel well into this month! PE was a blast as usual, Clara! Emma was certainly excited about Exhibition Night and the Winter Celebration. Thanks for making it all happen, Gaby and Clara!
